Social Issue: Gay Rights

Hello and Goodbye guys! This is the last entry of my blog so i decided to talk about an issue that i personally live every day: Gay Rights. As you know i have a beautiful girlfriend and i am openly declared lesbian but it wasnt easy get to that.

At school, everyone that had a different sexual orientation was discriminated, all of us were in a black list and the institution made the imposible to get us out of the school and the only solution for some of us was keep part of our identity hidden.

I was discriminated everywhere, in streets, in the public transportation, by my family, and i think that it was the hardest part but despite of all Im not angry at the world and i dont want to fight with everyone that made my life so horrible before.

On the other side, many gay people have been so damaged that today they have too much rage that they finally became bad people even when they are not being discriminated. I understand that some of them are angry and they just want to be happy and free but the hate at the world will not change nothing.

We should fight for our rights but always in a good way even when we were unfairly treated, even if it keeps to happen today we should not forget that, gay or not, be a good person is what really change the world. It is senseless get our rights back if we are full of rage and sadness at the end.

I know that is hard forgive the haters, i really know it, but all of us also know that achieve a inner peace will make us stronger and it will give us a real and uncomparable happiness.

Internet: Maybe WE are the evil or good ones

Thanks to internet we have access to a limitless knowledge and today you can search, find and learn almost anything just in seconds. But what about the things that we dont want to know?

It is more than known that internet has given us access to worldwide culture and it has included opinions or experiences about all ages people no matter if you are prepared or not to see, hear or read about it.

My eight year old niece loves to see horror movies at her tablet and i was really worried about it until i saw her react against the violence and bullying suffered by her little friend and herself at school. I know that she has access to see extreme savagery online but, despite that, she could recognize violence and she knew clearly that it was wrong.

On the other side, my thirteen year old niece has been very restricted about how she uses internet and social networks in general and now that she has had more access to them she has started to feel confusion about all this new world and how life works in it.

In both cases the technology and access to internet is present but can we say if it is good or evil for them? I think that, as every invention, you can use them for make the good or bad thing and the choise will always be ours.

Psychologically speaking, the kids of 7-8 years old have already formed criteria so the influence of internet and the decisions that a 12-15 year old kid takes could be just a reflection of how she or he was parented, how strong and stable their values were defined or maybe it is just all about us being good or bad family, friends or humans.
