Hello and Goodbye guys! This is the last entry of my blog so
i decided to talk about an issue that i personally live every day: Gay Rights.
As you know i have a beautiful girlfriend and i am openly declared lesbian but
it wasnt easy get to that.
At school, everyone that had a different sexual orientation
was discriminated, all of us were in a black list and the institution made the
imposible to get us out of the school and the only solution for some of us was
keep part of our identity hidden.
I was discriminated everywhere, in streets, in the public
transportation, by my family, and i think that it was the hardest part but
despite of all Im not angry at the world and i dont want to
fight with everyone that made my life so horrible before.
On the other side, many gay people have been so damaged that
today they have too much rage that they finally became bad people even when
they are not being discriminated. I understand that some of them are angry and
they just want to be happy and free but the hate at the world will not change
nothing.
We should fight for our rights but always in a good way even
when we were unfairly treated, even if it keeps to happen today we should not
forget that, gay or not, be a good person is what really change the world. It
is senseless get our rights back if we are full of rage and sadness at the end.
I know that is hard forgive the haters, i really know it,
but all of us also know that achieve a inner peace will make us stronger and it
will give us a real and uncomparable happiness.
Chile must catch up with respect to sexual minorities and tolerance of different sexual orientations. Hopefully soon we as a country have equal access to marriage and adoption homoparental :)

ResponderEliminarI totally agree with your toughts but I cannot understand what is to be discriminated or even"doomed" because of beeing homosexual.
I think we are here essentially to love, so if you find your love in other of your same gender its not bad at all... why?
Also social and religious (catholicism and some others) influence is outdated in the basic conception of "what is right".
Finally... you can disagree with others but, you cant fight against your "inner" feelings.
I like your personal point of view on that topic and I completely agree with you. It is horrible to be discriminated just because you are "out of the norm" (whatever that is!). I ask myself: When do people realize that it is the diversity of people that makes the world colorful, not a black-and-white picture of "right" and "wrong"? And when do they realize that every one of us could be an outsider depending on the point of view and the current rules? At the end it is the fear of the unknown and that they don't understand and that makes them angry and discriminating. You are right to show them that there is no reason. Hopefully, time and insitance will make them understand.
ResponderEliminarDominique,
ResponderEliminarWC: 300. Perfect.
Your text is really inspiring, you talk about love and acceptance, and you start by showing the best example, you yourself do not hate people who have been mean to you or who discriminated you in the first place. That means hope. I hope myself that people one day will stop paying attention to these things, which after all, are not so important. I wish you the best in your future, both as a professional and as a person.
Cheers,
